This piece is inspired by my childhood days growing up around Taddington. I lived on a farm surrounded by what felt like a million different animals. Being home educated meant I spent most of my time exploring the countryside with my best friend, daydreaming about the magic hidden in secret paths, rivers, and caves. We genuinely believed in spells and fairies. There were no phones—just a backpack, some food, and the promise to be home before dark. I had a favourite tree that opened in the middle like a great wooden armchair, the perfect spot for reading and surveying my little kingdom.
